    1) What key conventions of print adverts can you find and what are the  connotations  or deeper meanings of each convention?  For each convention, write about how it communicates meaning to the audience. The advert uses bright colours the lure the audience into the product.They use the rainbow as a connotation of the skittles.The sweets have multiple colours hence the reference the rainbow because it has a variety of colours such as the rainbow.The packaging is a bright red colour to draw the attention of the audience ,it also has a bold name in white which stands out from the red. The infamous slogan of skittles is "Taste the rainbow" persuades the audience to buy the product because a rainbow has connotations of happiness.The rainbow in the background of the advert is made out of skittles which shows you the amount of flavours that they have, and which you can choose out of all of them. It says on the packet bite size candies which implies they are easy to eat and enjoy
